Meet Captain Vlad
Captain Vlad Bortchevsky grew up on the water. From boating with his grandfather on the Volga River in Russia, Niagara River and Lake Erie in Buffalo and over 25 years on the Chesapeake Bay. Capt. Vlad has spent years getting to know the Chesapeake Bay the way it deserves — up close and unhurried.
Before founding Blue Horizon Charters, Vlad spent over two decades in law enforcement. That background shapes how he runs every trip: relaxed, professional, and always aware of what is happening around the boat. Guests feel it the moment they step aboard.
He started Blue Horizon Charters to share this Bay the right way. Private, personal, and built around what you actually want out of the day.
